TRACS Version 2 supports Loma’s full range of inspection equipment, offers better functionality with CSV export facility and improved user experience

Following on from the success of Loma TRACS, AutoCoding Systems have continued to work with Loma Systems to develop Version 2 of the popular data reporting and analysis software.

Like its predecessor, TRACS 2 (Trending-Reporting-Analysis-Capture-Software) runs over a customer’s factory network and provides real-time feedback across all lines in a central format for analysis and reporting of key measurements such as giveaway or metal count.  It allows factory managers to see instant machine status, examine different trends between shifts or products and quickly identify and rectify inefficiencies rather than waiting for historical information to be reported.

Information relating to contaminant detection rates, weight and over-fill records can be compiled quickly and can be used to demonstrate compliance with current legislation.

TRACS 2 supports Loma’s full range of inspection equipment and features a completely redesigned architecture in line with AutoCoding’s latest platforms.  There is a modern, easy to navigate user interface resulting in an improved user experience.  Other key features include printable batch reports and a CSV data export facility for batch and individual pack weight information.

Both metric and imperial measurements are supported and data is provided in a user friendly graphical format for quick and easy trend analysis.

The availability of real-time data from Loma CW3 checkweighers is of particular value in recording and tracking the cost of product giveaway per line.  Line operators are able to adjust production processes quickly ensuring product giveaway is kept to a minimum and unit weight targets are achieved.  This benefits food manufacturers’ cost centres and ensures compliance with the latest weights and measures legislation at the lowest weight possible.

Mike Hughes, Managing Director at AutoCoding Systems, said “We are pleased to continue to work with Loma Systems to further enhance the TRACS product which now offers improved functionality for a wider range of Loma products.  TRACS 2 has been developed as a result of feedback from Loma customers who identified the additional features they wanted to see in Version 2. The reporting facility has now been improved offering a PDF report function and a CSV data export facility, as well as the ability to gather data on batch and individual pack weights.”

Toby Kemp, Loma Systems’ Global Marketing Manager, commented “Both AutoCoding and ourselves are confident that TRACS will help factories build a culture of continuous improvement and increase productivity by highlighting efficiency opportunities.  For example, it can help food companies understand speed loss and start-up issues, as well as better understand and control their processes.”
