Interlift 2017 ideal place to showcase Optidrive Elevator

Firm’s second appearance at event dedicated to lift industry

July 11 2017: Invertek Drives is delighted to announce that it will be showcasing its dedicated Optidrive Elevator variable frequency drive range at Interlift 2017 on Stand 2162 in Hall 2.

Optidrive Elevator has only been available on the market for two years and was specifically developed to address the exacting performance and reliability requirements of the lift industry – enabling Invertek Drives to now compete with manufacturers who have been serving the sector for more than a decade.

Compact in size yet powerful enough for the most demanding of applications, Optidrive Elevator is particularly popular with more and more OEMs and System Integrators who recognise the high-performance motor control on offer.

Justin Walker, product manager at Invertek Drives, says: “Our Optidrive Elevator offers flexible motor support and has an easy to use interface with minimal parameterisation all from the built-in keypad.

“For those who prefer to work within a PC based environment then the Bluetooth Optistick (with free Optitools studio software) allows wireless commissioning of the elevator. This method also has a graphical travel profile view for finer tuning of the travel comfort.

“Optidrive Elevator comes with conformal coated printed circuit boards as standard and operates up to 50 degrees with no derating, this is further commitment to providing a robust product in order to keep up-time and life-time to the maximum,” he added.

Sales and marketing director, Rhydian Welson, said: “The fact this show gets so many visitors means it is the perfect place to showcase our Optidrive Elevator and we didn’t hesitate to confirm our attendance again this year.

“Providing a smooth journey is key for elevator manufacturers as no-one wants to arrive at their destination having experienced a jerky ride and increasingly lifts are also being used to carry expensive loads such as cars.

“With land space at a premium, high rise buildings are becoming more popular globally and this, together with an ageing worldwide demographic which means lifts are being increasingly installed in domestic properties, is leading to continued growth in the elevator market. This offers substantial opportunities for Invertek Drives and its international sales partners.

“Optidrive Elevator ensures an effortless journey in geared and gearless applications thanks to a fully programmable travel curve and a dedicated motor holding brake control algorithm that provides comfortable starting and stopping and I am sure it will prove popular at Interlift 2017,” he added.

Speed and safety are also crucial for the elevator industry so Optidrive Elevator includes safety features such as safe torque off, brake release monitoring, and Rescue Mode Operation, furthermore short floor operation allows for reduced carriage travel time.

As one of the largest trade shows dedicated to this sector, Invertek is confident that Interlift 2017 will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase the benefits of Optidrive Elevator to a wide range of key decision makers from within the industry.

Taking place at the Augsburg Trade Fair Centre from 17th-20th October, Interlift organisers are expecting more than 20,000 visitors from around the world to attend the three-day show.
