Last call for Engineers to join UK’s largest flood event @floodandcoast

The Environment Agency is calling all Engineers interested in attending the UK’s largest conference and exhibition for tackling the issues associated with the UK’s increased frequency of inland flooding and damage from coastal erosion.

Next week Engineers from across the UK will debate some of the most pressing issues with the Environment Agency at Flood and Coast 2017 from 28-30 March in Telford.

A total of 150 presentations and case studies will take place across the three days at the Telford International Centre.

Clare Dinnis, Deputy Director of Strategy at the Environment Agency and Chair of the Flood and Coast Event said “Pressures on our cities and all urban areas coupled with climate change, require us to look for innovative ways to increase resilience and sustainability. Here we are looking for different sectors to showcase their best examples and learn from one another so we can offer communities the resilient services they need.”
