MORE PIXELS – SAME PRICE @flir

Calling anyone who is keen to adopt thermal imaging or upgrade an existing camera within a constrained budget.  Until September 30th 2016, FLIR Systems is offering customers a FLIR E5 for the price of a FLIR E4 or a FLIR E6 at the same price as a FLIR E5.  This represents a cost saving of up to £799 (ex VAT) and a substantial increase in camera performance.

These entry-level thermal imaging cameras, known collectively as the FLIR Ex-Series, far exceed the capability of other brands in many ways.  These are true thermal imaging cameras, not instruments that simply take spot temperature measurements or use blended techniques.

They are packed with a variety of features that have never before been seen in this class of camera. The most important of these features is FLIR Systems’ patented MSX-technology that provides exceptional image quality in real time. This results in pin-sharp thermal images, quicker target orientation and clean reports.

To quantify the performance differences of the various models, the FLIR E4, E5 and E6 respectively have an image quality of 80 x 60 pixels, 120 x 90 pixels and 160 x 120 pixels and can see temperature differences of 0.15°C, 0.10°C and 0.06°C.  So this offer not only saves the user money but also allows them to clearly define the problem from the thermal image.

For those interested in greater functionality, FLIR Systems also has a limited period offer on its FLIR Exx-Series with resolutions up to 320 x 240 pixels.  Additionally, this range provides a variety of interchangeable lenses that allows the user, for example, to switch to wide angle to capture more of the scene in one shot, or telephoto to see and measure distant and smaller targets.

Manual focus makes it easy to select the sharpest clarity and finest accuracy.  Features like MSX and a simple touchscreen make the FLIR Exx- a great tool for the professional thermographer.  Until 30th September the FLIR E60 and E60bx for building thermography is available at the price of the FLIR E50 (bx).  In performance terms this means a model with 320 x 240 pixels instead of 240 x 180 pixels and the deal also includes a dual-bay charger and spare battery.
