Sheet metal manufacturing specialist receives industry-leading equipment from Engineering Utilities @E_utilities

17 May 2016 – A Yorkshire-based sheet metal manufacturer has seen a marked increase in productivity thanks to a revolutionary surface finishing machine provided by Engineering Utilities, a leading supplier of metal finishing equipment and consumables.

The production team at Allsops, in Holmfirth, identified the need to speed-up its edge rounding processes, which were previously performed by hand.

After considering a number of machines, the team at Allsops chose the Loewer DiscMaster 4TD-1500 machine, which Engineering Utilities exclusively sourced from Germany.

Lyndon Tyas, production director at Allsops, was flown out to Germany to see the machine in action at the Loewer head quarters in Homburg, Germany by Engineering Utilities director, Nigel Soulsby. Lyndon took sheet metal samples with him and was hugely impressed with not only the quality of finish the machine achieved, but also the speed in which it performed.

Speaking about the machine, Lyndon said: “Having previously worked with Engineering Utilities for more than a decade, we felt confident that the team would be able to provide an effective yet affordable solution for our edge rounding requirements.

“The entire team has been really impressed at the performance of the Loewer machine since its installation – it would usually take our welders days to achieve the finish that the machine can produce in just a couple of hours – meaning many of our skilled team have the capacity to now focus on other areas of the business.

“We always call upon Nigel and the team at Engineering Utilities to assist with our metal finishing requirements and I can’t recommend them enough for providing innovative, industry-leading products that fit the bill every time.”

Engineering Utilities owns the exclusive rights to distribute a number of innovative products including Loewer, Eisenblatter, Boeck, NS Maquinas and the revolutionary TIG Brush in the UK and Ireland.

Nigel Soulsby, director at Engineering Utilities, commented: “We always strive to not only offer an unrivalled level of service, but also provide expert advice and quality products at competitive prices. After visiting Allsops, we recommended the Loewer DiscMaster 4TD-1500 to service its requirements, thanks to the machine’s compact size, limited energy consumption and efficient performance.

“Taking Lyndon over to Germany allowed him to see first hand how well the machine performs, as well as its output rate, which he was really impressed with.”

The firm assists sector-leading clients across the globe in a variety of industries including nuclear, filtration, oil and petrol, food and catering, transportation, pharmaceutical and construction.
