CeMAT shines spotlight on Logistics 4.0 applications

Hannover, Germany. Digitization is having a major impact on logistics supply chains. The “Logistics 4.0 Experience Hub” at CeMAT will spotlight the supply chains of the future as well as the challenges facing the industry. Running the length of CeMAT from 23 to 27 April 2018, this special showcase will consist of some 30 exhibitors showcasing the latest technology involving goods transport, incoming goods, production, warehousing, order picking, packing and outgoing goods.

Jungheinrich, for instance, will focus on order picking, while SMI Handling Systems will demonstrate state-of-the-art product handling using vacuum technology and Copal will spotlight innovative solutions for unloading and palletizing container goods. Meanwhile, Pepperl+Fuchs will feature identification solutions and the wearable computing experts from Unimax will showcase Augmented Reality solutions. Apart from these product presentations, logistics providers will provide in-depth information at the Speakers’ Corner.

The Experience Hub will be supplemented by topic clusters highlighting the latest research findings, including drones, robotics and Augmented Reality.
