Parker balances the need for innovation and quality to support expanding exploration in harsh environments

Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, will be demonstrating its latest products and system solutions that help drive increased productivity and profitability in the oil and gas industry at this year’s Offshore Europe. With many decades of experience and materials science expertise, Parker’s solutions are optimised for the corrosive environments and harsh conditions typical of applications within the sector.

Parker offers close to one million products with a focus on innovation, strength, reliability, lightweight construction and cost-effectiveness being a common thread throughout the range. The products solve engineering challenges in key focus areas such as filtration, fluid connectors and instrumentation for upstream, midstream and downstream stages in the sector.

Parker Hannifin has an extensive and knowledgeable distribution network, and partners with OEMs, Engineering Procurement Companies (EPCs) around the world. This helps ensure the optimisation of designs and product selection resulting in reliable, cost-effective solutions that perform to stringent customer expectations and minimise downtime. Parker’s product experts will be available at the show in Aberdeen to discuss specific applications and help visitors address their real-world engineering challenges.

Amongst the many exhibits to be featured at Offshore Europe will be Parker’s Blowout Preventer (BOP) hose system. This technology is certified to withstand fire, heat and pressure in safety critical applications and is a vital part of exploration and drilling equipment in the very demanding oil & gas market. Optimum performance with the highest safety is the main operating criteria. BOP hoses use the highest quality compounds, such as ParLock FA35 – these are all manufactured in Europe. The assembly process of the components guarantees customers a high degree of flexibility and easy installation on site.

In addition, Parker’s High Pressure Collapse Resistant (HCR) hose, specifically designed to serve the oil & gas market in subsea hydraulics, will also be on display. Its state-of-the-art construction provides a minimum crush resistance of 6,600 psi external pressure. Safety, versatility and efficiency, critical for components and systems that must meet the tough requirements and expectations of the oil and gas market, are exampled by Parker’s Polyflex 2580N Black Eagle hose that will be on display at the show.
