~ Ultralife Corporation to exhibit at 2025 SHOT Show ~
Ultralife Corporation, a global manufacturer of portable power solutions and communications systems for defense, industrial, safety and security, and medical applications, will exhibit at the SHOT Show from January 21 to 24, 2025. This annual event, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a large trade show for recreational shooting, defense, and law enforcement industries. Ultralife will join over 2,700 exhibitors to showcase its range of battery packs, cells, and communications systems. Visitors can meet the team at Booth 43456.
At the show, Ultralife will present a variety of rechargeable battery packs and non-rechargeable single cell batteries that provide reliable power for firearm-related devices, including night vision goggles and laser rangefinders used on rifle scopes. At the booth, Ultralife’s experts will highlight both tailor-made custom designs and readily available, pre-qualified batteries.
Non-rechargeable single cell batteries on display include the CR123A-size XR123A, which has an industry-leading capacity of 2,000mAh and longer power retention in low power devices (such as night vision goggles) compared to competing batteries. Another CR123A-size battery, the UB123A offers higher power than alternatives on the market with equivalent capacity, so can help illumination equipment to produce more light.
Rechargeable battery packs, such as the popular XX90 form factor range, will also be on display. Among the XX90s will be the newly added UBBL09-01, a low and dual voltage Lithium-ion battery that communicates with host and charge equipment while offering high energy density. Compatible chargers and cables will also be showcased, including a 1-bay desktop charger (UCH0057-01) that automatically sets smart XX90 batteries to 30 percent for air shipment compliance.
As well as air shipment compliance, the military has focused on balancing SWaP (size, weight, and power) in electronic devices, down to individual components like rechargeable battery packs. Meeting these needs, the Land Warrior range reduced the typical weight of batteries carried by soldiers by 80 percent. In this range, there is a new conformal/wearable battery, the UBBL72. Formed of 20 small rectangles for a comfortable fit, the UBBL72 boasts an energy density of 134.83Wh/Kg at a thickness of 0.68in and operates within a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C.
In addition to batteries, visitors will also be able to learn about Ultralife’s communications systems, including the new A-2303 amplifier, which is the smallest, lightest RF amplifier available. The amplifier automatically performs all necessary detection and classification to provide a faithful reproduction of the radio RF with the desired amplification. Using the optional in-country support offering, the A-2303 can be repaired and calibrated in-country, using documentation, instrumentation, and LabVIEW test routines.
Additionally, the Communications Systems division will share their expertise in rack design for Edge computer servers. Law enforcement agencies and military personnel increasingly rely on Edge computing to process data locally and quickly without the need for satellite communication. Readily available Edge servers are not designed for harsh environments, but Ultralife’s team of engineers can house them in rugged, durable cases (meeting military standards if required). The servers slide into the cases on racks, which can be protected by government approved padlocks to prevent the servers from being removed. Ultralife can design cases for use onboard ships, onboard aircraft in compliant sized cases, and on the battlefield.
