Engineering design and project management specialist Lorien Engineering Solutions has promoted David Mallinson to its board as engineering director.
David joins managing director Steve Slater, operations director Bill Treddenick, and directors Roy Klek and Steve Turner.
It also has an office in Wroclaw, Poland and is a division of GP Strategies, a global engineering and technical services organisation headquartered in Maryland USA.
During more than 30 years of operation Lorien has completed capital projects totalling more than £1 billion, providing services to client organisations across the UK and throughout Europe and Asia.
David has worked at Lorien since 2012 as an engineering manager, having previously worked for the business from 2000 as a senior packaging engineer for four years. He has held senior roles with ADI Projects, Premier Foods and Ishida Europe Limited.
David said: “During my time with Lorien, the business has gone from strength to strength both in the UK and overseas, and I’m looking forward to playing a key role in developing our client base and service offering still further, particularly in the sustainable and industrial sectors.”
Managing director Steve Slater added: “It is always pleasing to promote from within the organisation and I am particularly excited to welcome Dave to the Lorien board and look forward to his valuable contribution to our continued success.”
Lorien employs over 100 people and is continually adding to its team, having recently recruited an engineering manager to lead its newly formed Utilities department and a further business development manager to focus on the Food sector. The company is also planning to add a senior project manager, a senior building services engineer and a safety compliance engineer to the team.
