Eaton showcases intelligent/ connected power motion control solutions and smart fluid conveyance products at Bauma 2019. All dedicated to building smarter machines and improving performance

MORGES, SWITZERLAND… Power management company Eaton will be demonstrating its Dynamic Machine Control approach to improving performance and building smarter machines during this year’s Bauma. Visitors to Hall A5, booth 423 will be able to see Eaton’s Dynamic Machine Control approach which facilitate the design and build of smarter machines. Also on display will be innovative solutions including power management and control products, hydraulic hoses and connectors and filtration products, which help to keep the machines of tomorrow moving.

“Eaton’s Dynamic Machine Control portfolio is helping customers increase efficiency, decrease fuel consumption, optimize maintenance and enabling remote machine interconnectivity through a systems and solutions approach,” states Andreas Kling, Business Development Manager at Eaton. “The high performing new generation of Fluid Conveyance products from Eaton are targeted to increase productivity and decrease the need for maintenance. What’s more with the market demanding increased performance across all operational areas, it’s critical that components and systems can cope with these demands in smaller footprints.”

At Bauma 2019, Eaton will be demonstrating a flexible and adaptable steer-by-wire (SBW) concept. The modular design of this solution enables components to be integrated into vehicles according to customer specifications. Eaton is helping to enhance safety and reduce operator fatigue through the deployment of steering capabilities that improve productivity with the removal of hydraulics. Safety levels are met through several solutions and enable the manufacturer’s pursuit towards an autonomous driving solution.

Eaton will also be showcasing its boom stability control technology. This new system reduces hydraulic boom oscillation by up to 75 percent and boom settling time by up to 90 percent. The technology improves the performance, productivity and safety of boom-equipped machinery, such as concrete pump trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, telehandlers, aerial work platforms, hydraulically controlled cranes. It also enables active ride control for various construction equipment.

Visitors to the booth will be able to discuss Eaton’s solution in the field of blended power. Electro-hydraulic blended power solutions optimize engine efficiency and minimize wasted energy, creating fuel savings of 40 percent or more and reducing operating costs. With energy recovery and power on demand capabilities, these solutions allow for a reduction in engine size to deliver the same power in a smaller package.

Eaton will be highlighting capabilities around energy control, cooling, distribution and protection for work circuit and drive circuit electrification solutions. Whilst hydraulic systems are still the first choice for heavy duty work cycles, a growing number of machine functions can be electrified. By intelligently managing both electrical and hydraulic power in combination, Eaton’s solutions enable more efficient motion and load control, thereby improving productivity.

For engineers seeking innovative solutions within the field of fluid conveyance, Eaton will have at the show a full range of high-performing hoses and connectors. With the market demanding better performance and productivity, as well as improved efficiency and reduced maintenance and downtime costs, Eaton’s hoses and connectors are key components. On display will be its innovative range of Flat Face quick disconnect couplings that feature an enhanced flow rate and pressure capabilities up to 400 bar. Eaton’s Dynamax® EC881 range of two-wire braided hoses offer one of the best in class performance with one million impulse cycle life figures.

Visitors to the booth will be able to meet Eaton’s filtration experts to learn how to reduce operating costs, increase process efficiencies, performance and safety for mobile machines with HP3 high pressure filter series and TEF return line filter series. Both filter series utilize high performance micro glass (VG) filter media with high dirt-holding capacity and long lifetime to increase required service intervals. When used in combination with CCT inline control sensors, potential contamination problems in hydraulic and lubrication fluids can be identified early to prevent damaging, cost-intensive and safety-endangering system failures. Using any of these filtration solutions results in a longer life of system components with better fluid usage.
