Titan Enterprises announces new software functionality for its Atrato and MetraFlow ultrasonic flowmeters to enable customers the option to move the measurement window to ensure you always measure at the optimal point of signal. Most ultrasonic flowmeters can reliably measure fluids that transmit ultrasonic sound waves within a band (e.g. +/- 30%) around the speed of sound in water at 20°C. But if a fluid has significantly differing acoustic characteristics, for instance viscous organic fluids or if measurement is at elevated temperatures, then the acoustic operational window can be missed by the sensors. For the first time on an ultrasonic flowmeter this application challenge is overcome by the new software functionality offered on the Atrato and Metraflow.
Titan Enterprises Atrato and MetraFlow low flow ultrasonic flowmeters use patented ultrasonic technology, which enables them to operate with excellent accuracy over very wide flow ranges (0.002 to 20 litres / minute). Both of these low flows ultrasonic
flowmeters also offer excellent turndown (> 200:1), repeatability (+/- 0.5%), linearity and accuracy of better than +/- 1.0% of reading.
