THE UK’S LEADING PRODUCTION LINE EVENT

PPMA Total Show, incorporating Pakex and Interphex, will return to the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, 1-3 October 2019, to showcase the latest trends within processing and packaging machinery and smart manufacturing, including the most recent developments in advanced robotics and other automation technology. For companies looking to increase their production line efficiencies and enhance their business profitability and performance, the show provides visitors with the ideal opportunity to learn about and see the latest working solutions in processing and packaging equipment in one location.

PPMA Total is recognised as the most important and influential industry event in the UK for key decision-makers and purchasers in key industry sectors, including food, beverage, household chemicals, building materials and suppliers, pet care, micro-distilleries and pharmaceutical sectors.

It’s easy to see why too, as this year’s three-day event will house a comprehensive line-up of production technologies and solutions from over 400 exhibitors, comprising more than 1,600 brands,

Leading players already confirmed as exhibitors include ATG Wood, Brillopack, ICE, Intamac, Krones UK, Minebea Intec and Shawpak.

Commenting on the forthcoming Total event, David Harrison, Group Exhibition Manager for the PPMA, said: “PPMA Show 2018 was the largest show in 30 years, and this year’s event continues to build on that success to make it the largest Total Show in 15 years.

“Our shows are designed to promote collaboration and information-sharing. They provide a real opportunity for end users to discuss their business challenges with industry experts. There really is no other forum in the UK that gives visitors access to a greater number of experts, engineers and designers all under one roof,” he added.

Building on the success of 2018, PPMA Total will incorporate an Enterprise Zone, which will offer visitors a focal point for learning, networking and live debate. It will host a series of live workshops, presentations and interactive discussions, with keynote addresses by highly-respected speakers, covering topical issues and industry trends.  Networking will also be a highlight of the Enterprise Zone, with dedicated meeting areas and organised activities.

Importantly, as part of the ongoing drive to encourage more young people to pursue a career in engineering, this year’s Total Show will include an education hub to offer guidance on apprenticeships and how companies can access to funding through the PPMA’s charitable arm, PPMA BEST (Business Education, Skills and Training – www.ppmabest.org.uk ).

This year’s PPMA Group Industry Awards will be held on Tuesday, 1 October at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham. Over 300 industry professionals will convene from the world of packaging and processing to celebrate excellence in smart manufacturing, innovation and business over a special three-course dinner gala event.
