What’s on…?

As well as the broad range of exhibitors at the show, there are also a number of feature areas to visit, with each offering vital knowledge, advice and interactive experiences from different parts of the industry.

The Enterprise Hub is the place to go for invaluable presentations from representatives of key organisations and engineering institutions, sharing information on opportunities that are available throughout the sector, covering subjects including funding, training schemes, apprenticeships and best practice standards.

Organisations taking part in this year’s Enterprise Hub include British Measurement & Testing Association (BMTA) – representing the interest of the measurement and testing industry. The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) – finds/funds exploitable innovation to support UK defence and security, whilst quickly and effectively supporting UK prosperity, Gambica – the trade association for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory tech in the UK. The Institute of Engineering & Technology – set out to inspire, inform and influence the global engineering community to engineer a better world. As well as Make UK – leading the way in developing skills and driving a competitive advantage for the UK by stimulating success for manufacturing businesses.

Along with this is the introduction of the brand new Innovation in Action area, sponsored by PCB Piezotronics. Featuring live demonstrations from exhibitors, giving visitors, engineers and industry professionals a clear insight into new products, with expert advice on how they can be used to benefit operations in the field and their businesses.

Companies that are confirmed to showcase their innovations so far are: Bronkhorst – leader in mass flow meter/mass flow controller technology, who will be demonstrating the companies Liquid Dosing Module; Devtank – an open source test and measurement company, focusing on comprehensive production, test, measurement and automation solutions. As well as PCB Piezotronics – designers, manufacturers and global suppliers of accelerometers, microphones, torque, lead, strain and pressure sensors, used by design engineers and predictive maintenance professionals.

This year Sensors & Instrumentation Live will be launching the Engineering Symposium, in partnership with DJB Instruments – global leader in vibration and sensing technology.
