Established in January 2009, Industrial Communication Products (ICP) is a leading distributor of industrial communication products to the water, transportation, military and marine, power, and industrial automation sectors.
Its product offering enables the transmission of a wide range of industrial protocols (Ethernet, Fieldbus, RS232, RS422, RS485, Audio and Video) over many different types of ‘media’ (Cat5, Fibre, Twisted pair, Coax and Wireless). ICP has a great deal of experience in the factory automation sector working with many leading UK SIs and end users. It offers a wide range of communication and computing products for this sector, compatible with all leading automation protocols such as Profibus, CANbus, Profinet, EtherCAT and Ethernet/IP.
The company also has a strong expertise in PoE based products and technology and has supplied equipment for a number of more general CCTV projects for large industrial premises and manufacturing facilities.
As a leading supplier to the process automation sector, ICP offers Gateway products for Profibus PA, FF and HART and has a range of fibre-optic transmission products for 4-20mA and 0-10V analogue signals which are suitable for process automation applications. It also offers Industrial PC products with IP69K stainless steel housings for specialised food and beverage applications.
In recent years it has expanded it has product offering of both communication and computing products to include even more products with ATEX approvals.
Military & Marine
ICP has been involved in a number of projects supplying equipment for nuclear attack submarines, frigates, amphibious assault ahips and land- based fighting vehicles. It is able to offer high reliability COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) industrial grade communication equipment and more specialised, military grade equipment with MIL-STD approvals.
“We have supplied products for both military and commercial shipping including FPSOs and super yachts,” says Graham. “Our range of industrial fibre-optic products including Ethernet switches, Profibus DP repeaters and compact fibre patch panels are ideal for marine applications.” The company also offers marine grade computer products.
