Swindon Silicon Systems sponsors Elektra Awards 2023

~ Celebrating innovation in the global electronics industry ~

Swindon Silicon Systems, a mixed signal ASIC specialist and a Sensata Technologies company, demonstrates its ongoing support for innovation in the electronics sector by sponsoring the Elektra Awards. The prestigious event will celebrate growth and performance during its annual ceremony at Grosvenor House, London on November 29, 2023.

With 18 award categories and over 300 attendees each year, the Elektra Awards is a calendar highlight for global electronics leaders. The event will recognise the achievements of companies and individuals alike, with awards available in categories from semiconductors and start-ups to product design and power systems.

This year’s ceremony comes after the UK government’s announcement of its £1bn, 20-year semiconductor strategy, which will see investment in domestic chip companies to secure the UK’s position as a global semiconductor leader.

The ceremony is supported by an independent panel of 20 representatives from leading organisations, as well as a host of industry sponsors. This includes Swindon Silicon Systems, which returns as the Design Tool and Development Software category sponsor. The award will recognise the company with the strongest capabilities in software design tool, application and software intellectual property (IP) development.

Richard Mount, Director of Sales at Swindon Silicon Systems, is looking forward to rewarding the innovative work of the software design companies that make chip development and manufacture possible.

“Without high quality software, we would not be able to deliver our range of Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), System in Package (SiP) and System on Chip (SoC) technologies on time and to specification. Our longstanding partnership with the Elektra Awards is a brilliant opportunity to highlight the huge array of global electronics talent. It also serves as inspiration for how we can further develop companies and individuals domestically,” he explained.

With over 50 years of expertise in the electronics sector, Swindon is a specialist in custom ASICs, which are designed with a specific application in mind, offering optimised performance and Intellectual Property (IP) protection versus off-the-shelf ICs.

Custom ASICs are difficult to re-engineer or reuse in other applications and come with the guarantee that they will be available for the entirety of the customers’ product lifespan, limiting the risk of obsolescence.

The 21st edition of the Elektra Awards will be celebrated at Grosvenor House, November 29, 2023. To discover the award categories and how you can attend, visit the Elektra website. If you’d like to learn how a custom IC solution can work for you, please contact Swindon.
