Loma Systems, a global leader in inspection technologies for food quality and safety, will be demonstrating its latest detection solutions at the Anuga FoodTec trade fair, taking place from 19-22 March 2024 in Cologne, Germany. At this key industry event, LOMA® will highlight its innovative inspection technologies that are pivotal in enhancing food safety and production efficiency. Located in Hall 5.2, Stand B039, Loma’s stand will feature an array of advanced solutions, each designed to meet specific challenges within the food production sector.
A key focus of their display is the recently launched Loma Flex Conveyor System. This system represents a significant leap in production operations, offering the most adjustable conveyor solution for use with all LOMA IQ3 and IQ4 metal detection heads. Its design is centered on adaptability and efficiency, addressing both current and future line formatting, making it a robust long-term investment with endless permutations. The Flex Conveyor System stands out for its ability to be quickly reconfigured, including adjustments in line length, height and speed, making it an ideal choice for production environments that demand flexibility and scalability today and in the future. This flexible conveyor is also engineered as a quick-build resolution, allowing for fast lead times and enabling operations to commence promptly.
Also on show will be the X5 Space Saver, another key product from Loma designed specifically for facilities where space is a constraint, but quality inspection must not be compromised. Despite its compact footprint, this machine delivers the high-performance levels expected from Loma’s range, inspecting products up to 180mm in height, and available with 400mm and 500mm belt widths.
For the inspection of pumped and free-flowing applications such as poultry, meat, slurries and sauces, Loma will demonstrate the IQ4 Pipeline metal detection and the X5 Pipeline X-ray systems. Both solutions are tailored to deliver high levels of metal contamination detection, with the X5 Pipeline also able to detect bone, glass, stone and dense plastics.
Further covering a broader range of contaminant detection and integrity checks, Loma’s X5C X-ray system will be on show and is especially good at inspecting convenience foods, ready meals, and small packaged goods, presented in foil, such as blister packs, or heavy metallized film packaging, overcoming the problems with ferrous in foil metal detectors. This system is Loma’s smallest X-ray with a machine length of 1000mm, offering excellent Critical Control Point (CCP) in the smallest footprint.
Completing Loma’s line-up, the CW3 Combo 1500 System will be featured, combining the functionalities of checkweighing and metal detection into a single, efficient unit. Exemplifying Loma’s approach to integrating multiple inspection processes, this system thereby optimises production line efficiency and saves valuable space.
Together with the new Flex Conveyor System, these products represent Loma Systems’ commitment to providing innovative and reliable solutions to the food production industry. Anuga FoodTec provides an excellent opportunity for industry professionals to meet the Loma team to explore these technologies, understand their applications and discuss how they can be integrated into their specific production environments.
