Services for the Aerospace, Defence and Security Sectors
Lane Electronics, a leading franchised distributor for many of the industry’s major electrical and electronic connector manufacturers, has once again satisfied all the requirements to become fully registered on the JOSCAR (Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) accreditation register as set out by the participating buying organisations.
JOSCAR is a collaborative tool used by the aerospace, defence and security industries to function as a single repository for pre-qualification and compliance information. JOSCAR allows an OEM to quicky and simply determine if a supplier is “fit for business” and a qualified Electronics Solutions Partner.
The accreditation is supported by leading defence OEMs including BAE Systems, Leonardo, Ministry of Defence, QinetiQ, General Dynamics and Raytheon and is comprised of a central register holding common supplier information which can be quickly accessed by all participating buying organisations. JOSCAR aims to reduce the time, cost and resources required from suppliers to provide information to major prime customers while avoiding duplication of information.
One of the key aims of JOSCAR is to ensure that the information that suppliers and third parties are asked to provide to their customers is proportionate to the types of goods or services being supplied. A dynamic two-stage process is used to ensure that the process is tailored and as efficient as possible.
Lane Electronics is a franchised distributor for many of the industry’s leading electrical and electronic connector manufacturers including EATON Souriau, CINCH Fibreco, HUBER+SUHNER, HellermannTyton, Positronic, Nicomatic and LEMO.
