~ WEG products to be showcased by new Finnish distributor at leading subcontracting fair ~
WEG, a leading motor, drives and gearbox manufacturer has announced its partnership with Finnish distributor Vuorenmaa Yhtiöt Oy. Vuorenmaa will showcase WEG products at the Alihankinta subcontracting fair in Tampere, Finland, from October 1 to 3, 2024. Attendees are invited to visit stand E 1130 to see WEG’s motors and drives solutions, including the W23 Sync+ Ultra motor, W22 motor line, WG20 geared motors and variable speed drives (VSD) from the CFW series.
WEG’s new distribution partnership with Vuorenmaa, an established supplier of technical products, including electric motors and automation solutions in Finland, will further improve WEG’s local support. It will provide quicker response times and ensure a deeper understanding of customer needs in the Finnish market.

At Alihankinta 2024, Vuorenmaa will present a variety of WEG technologies including the new W23 Sync+ Ultra motor. The motor combines permanent magnet (PM), ferrite or neodymium magnets and synchronous reluctance (SynRM) motor technologies. It is anticipated to comply with energy efficiency rating IE6, surpassing current European Ecodesign regulations while ensuring reduced energy consumption and lower CO2 emissions.
Vuorenmaa will also showcase the W22 series of three-phased induction motors. These motors meet stringent efficiency standards IE3 and IE4. Designed for energy saving, they also offer lower noise and vibration levels, improved reliability, easier maintenance and a reduced total cost of ownership (TCO).
Next, the WG20 geared motors will be featured, known for versatility and efficiency in applications including conveyors, mixers and material handling systems. These motors, available in helical, parallel shaft, helical bevel and helical worm configurations, provide a compact and flexible drive solution, ideal for both centralised and decentralised systems.
The exhibition will also include a selection of WEG’s VSD’s, including the CFW900, CFW500 and CFW300. The CFW900 drive offers high-performance energy efficiency and ease of use for a wide range of applications like pumps, fans and compressors. The CFW500 and CFW300 drives ensures flexibility and control in industrial processes like HVAC systems, conveyors and packaging machinery.
