FPT Industrial, the Iveco Group brand dedicated to the design, production, and sale of low-environmental impact powertrains, is heading to Liguria for the 64th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show from 19 to 24 September 2024, alongside its distributor Naval Motor Botti.
The company’s stand in the Power Village (stand YPA17) will be showing off some of the most representative marine engines from its dynamic industrial, and commercial strategy in this sector, based on power, reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. The products on display will include the N67 450 N, a highly versatile engine ideal for pleasure and working vessels of up to 12 meters, and fixed-speed auxiliary applications, and the top-of-the-range 735 kW C16 1000, now also available in fixed-speed auxiliary configuration. The C90 650 EVO HYBRID, developed by VULKAN Hybrid Architect, completes the stand.
As always, FPT Industrial will also have an area dedicated to Customer Service, where it will be presenting the MyFPT offering, in particular its Connected Services, Extended Warranty, and fluids. The MyFPT portfolio, available to all marine customers, also includes services such as on-board telematics and proactive service, which – through connectivity – enables the Brand’s Control Room specialists to monitor marine engines and their performance in real time, detecting the warning signs of failures well in advance.
Of particular interest will be the Customer Event organized by Naval Motor Botti on 20 September, which will allow attendees to explore the FPT Industrial marine portfolio and the MyFPT Customer Service in detail, with testimonials from customers and the authorized workshops belonging to the Naval Motor Botti service network.
N67 450 N for propulsion and auxiliary applications – The engine which brings pleasure boaters and professionals together
Available both for recreational vessels and light-medium duty professional applications, the N67 450 N offers a high level of power and maximum torque at low engine speeds. Optional accessories include: electronic remote control, monitoring systems and marine class society type approval. The cutting-edge diagnostic systems allow for simplified engine service, while the oil and filter change intervals of 600 hours allow optimization of Total Cost of Ownership.
The N67 450 N is also available in the auxiliary engine version with specific layout and set-up for marine applications, available for fixed-speed auxiliary G-Drive applications thanks to the 129 kW model at 1500 and 1800 rpm, that are compliant with Stage V emission standard without the need for an ATS to be installed on the boat. the fixed-speed G-Drive marine engines have prime power ratings able to support overloads of up to 10%, according to ISO 8528. The wide selection of available options is able to satisfy the widest range of requirements, including electronic speed control, PTO and block heater.

C90 650 EVO HYBRID – Meeting the most demanding requirements with the least environmental impact
The C90 650 EVO Hybrid engine is including the hybrid module developed by VULKAN Hybrid Architect for FPT Industrial and is an example of a parallel hybrid-electric marine propulsion system – compact, scalable and modular – for commercial and pleasure vessels. Designed to be flexible, it offers the maximum in terms of comfort and performance, guarantees a reduction in operating and maintenance costs, and most of all it allows full electric sailing, eliminating emissions and noise.
The C90 650 EVO Hybrid offers a compact, turnkey solution, ideal for small engine rooms and repowering projects, which allows shipbuilders to reduce or eliminate the onboard generator. In addition to the hybrid transmission shown off at the boat show, this solution includes a DC switchboard, transformer, PMS, control system and marine battery pack. FPT Industrial’s hybrid marine engines created in partnership with VULKAN in predefined configurations from 125 kW to 735 kW offer a wide choice of power outputs of the coupled electric motor (from 96 kW to 250 kW) and modular battery packs.
MAIN COMPONENTS OF THE FPT INDUSTRIAL C90 HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM
FPT INDUSTRIAL C90 650 EVO
In-line six-cylinder, 8.7 liter diesel engine
Maximum power: 478 kW @ 2,530 rpm
Hybrid clutch
The system uses an electromagnetic clutch for engaging and disengaging the diesel engine, managed by a dedicated control unit located between the engine and the e-machine.
E-machine
The e-machine is composed of a synchronous permanent magnet and an axial flow motor (200 kWe at 2,000 rpm, with just 40 cm of axial length). The result is a powerful and extremely compact hybrid module. E-machines of various sizes will be available to meet specific customer requirements.

C16 1000 – Speed champion, sales champion
Holder of the Guinness World Record for speed on the water for the diesel engines category (277.5 km/h), the C16 1000 marine engine is one of the best-selling ever in FPT Industrial’s marine range, and has been specially developed to offer the highest level of performance in medium-light duty commercial applications and recreational boating. It is the only 16-liter engine on the market to offer the compact footprint of a 13-liter model, facilitating installation and ensuring greater space on board.
Compliant with IMO2, RCDII, EPA3 and China GBII emissions standards for global market coverage, and also available in Keel Cooling configuration, in the light commercial segment the C16 1000 engine stands apart thanks to its extraordinary robustness, great power density (63 hp/l) and torque (220 Nm/l), as well as its reduced weight. The best maintenance intervals in the category (600 hours) facilitate servicing and reduce costs.
These characteristics, alongside the range of potential applications – motor yachts, long-distance cruisers, sports fishing vessels, coastguard/police vessels, search and rescue vessels, small ferries and fishing boats – demonstrate all the versatility of the C16 1000.
