Systems, consumables, and service from one local source
After years of building relationships and meeting fascinating people, Verulam Scientific Ltd is returning to Lab Innovations in 2024, exhibiting at stand J68 in the NEC, Birmingham, on October 30 and 31. The team has over 90 years of combined experience to share with visitors and will pass on insights into innovative instrumentation for academic and industrial labs.
The centrepiece this year will be the Chronect XPR from Axel Semrau by Trajan. This automated powder dosing system integrates a Mettler Toledo XPR balance, fully supported by Mettler Toledo, with a simple robotic arm and PAL automation. The system allows gravimetric and volumetric dosing of multiple solids and liquids in one automated platform.
WMH Robotics’ cobots are lightweight robotic arms that handle a wide range of applications to automate repetitive tasks, usually conducted by workers. They are designed to share a workspace with humans, making automation easier than ever before, for businesses of all sizes.
Liquid chromatography (LC) solutions from KNAUER range from UHPLC to preparative- and pilot-scale and use the same technology, greatly reducing problems with method scale-up. The demo FPLC system will be on show for any visitors interested in protein purification.
Verulam Scientific offers dedicated HPLC analysers with electrochemical detection (ECD) from Antec Scientific. Antec’s recently launched SweetSep column for carbohydrate analysis outperforms leading competitors and is offered as part of the complete solution for this application. The DECADE Elite ECD will be on display alongside information on RECIPE CE-IVD clinical diagnostic kits for (U)HPLC and LC-MS/MS.
New to the exhibit is the CompactGC4.0 from GAS (Global Analyser Solutions), which have been developing customised gas chromatography and mass spectrometry solutions for over 40 years.
The Verulam Scientific stand will once again showcase one of the most popular product ranges, the Coriolis biological air samplers from Bertin Technologies. Also displayed will be Bertin’s additional life science offerings, the Precellys Evolution Touch homogeniser, and their bioreagent kits.
However, no new technology works without consumables and support. On display will be a selection of SETonic autosampler syringes, as well as other items from the new Verulam Scientific online shop. Christine Townsend, technical support manager, will be available to discuss how Verulam Scientific can support your laboratory.
Verulam Scientific Ltd supplies complete solutions to the pharmaceutical, environmental, life science, food, clinical and biotechnology markets across the UK. Every great piece of technology can’t fit on a single stand, so if you are visiting the show with a problem to solve or just want some background information, a member of the team will be on hand to help or make recommendations.
