Leading packaging machinery manufacturer, ULMA Packaging, has appointed Lee Driscoll as their new UK sales manager for traysealers. With nearly 20 years of experience selling capital equipment, Lee officially began his role on 5th August 2024. His appointment will involve increasing the sales and turnover of ULMA’s traysealing products in the UK & Ireland.
Lee brings a strong background in the food industry to the role, focusing on capital equipment such as product inspection solutions, multi-head weighing, slicing, thermoformers and traysealers. His extensive knowledge of food industry equipment and customer needs positions him well to enhance ULMA Packaging’s traysealer sales.
In his new position, Lee will promote the standout features of ULMA’s machines, including their high-speed performance, compact design, fully automated turnkey solutions and hygienic construction, ensuring ULMA remains competitive in the market. Reporting directly to ULMA Packaging UK’s managing director, James Couldwell, Lee will focus on generating new customer leads and identifying sector opportunities. Additionally, he will collaborate closely with regional sales teams to drive growth.
Commenting on his new position, Lee said: “I was attracted to this role due to my previous working relationship with James Couldwell and ULMA’s strong product reputation. The strategy James outlined for the future of ULMA’s traysealers was very appealing. ULMA’s dedication to quality and the goal of enhancing the traysealer product line was something I wanted to be involved in.
“This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a clear vision and a strong commitment to delivering advanced traysealing technology. I look forward to developing strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers,” he added.
James Couldwell, managing director of ULMA Packaging UK, said: “We are delighted to have Lee join our team. His extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the food industry’s packaging machinery, combined with his passion for delivering customer-centric solutions, make him the ideal candidate to lead the traysealing portfolio. With his expertise, we are confident that he will play a key role in taking our traysealer range to the next level and help achieve our ambitious growth plans in both the UK and Irish markets.”
