Not only do ODU manufacture sealed connectors, but they also supply custom contacts for other OEM’s to incorporate into their own systems, here’s a couple of examples: –
- An Ashton-based manufacturer is offering a new system that allows the replacement of lighting in hazardous areas, such as offshore rigs, without breaking the lifetime seal of the enclosures. Custom ODU LAMTAC© contacts are being used in their plugs.
- An Essex-based underwater cable manufacturer is incorporating custom ODU TURNTAC© contacts into their own design of high-pressure underwater connectors.
