FLASH memory from the AT45DB family by Renesas

Renesas SPI NOR Flash Memories have been designed with a wide range of applications in mind, primarily in systems such as embedded and industrial applications. They offer reliable, fast, and energy-efficient non-volatile data and program code storage, making them ideally suited for handling system boot processes (boot), settings data storage, and real-time data logging.

Renesas devices communicate via a standard SPI serial interface, ensuring easy integration with most microcontrollers and processors available on the market. Their flexible, page-based memory architecture allows for efficient programming and erasing of data, and an integrated SRAM buffer enhances write performance.

Renesas SPI NOR Flash memories are characterized by low power consumption and advanced deep sleep modes, which can reduce energy consumption by more than 80% compared to traditional Flash memories. As a result, they are excellent for battery-powered devices and applications requiring high energy efficiency.

Designed with durability and reliability in mind, these devices operate within an industrial temperature range: from -40°C to 85°C. They are available in standard, compact SMD packages, such as SOIC-8.

Typical applications for these memories include IoT modules, industrial controllers, data loggers, and communication devices.
