Official Launch of eXRP™, a Real-time 3D Engine for eSOL and Industries

Responding to the rapid growth of the digital twin market, and strengthening “Godot” for industrial applications

Tokyo, Japan, 01st April 2026 – eSOL, a leading developer of real-time embedded software solutions, will officially launch the industry’s first ever real-time 3D engine known as eXRP™ which has been enhanced for industrial use. eXRP™ is powered by the open source Godot game engine.

eXRP is a real-time 3D engine with enhanced support for the development of visualization systems such as 3D simulation (digital twins etc.) and HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) in industrial sectors such as mobility, robotics, and manufacturing, amongst others.

CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) tools such as general simulation software, etc., are said to have high deployment barriers because they are expensive and complex, but eXRP can drastically cut costs, time, and work-hours for development in comparison to CAE tools because it can perform integrated development using an intuitive and efficient UI/UX based on the open source Godot game engine and a development base that includes runtime and editor.

The market for visualization systems is expected to grow rapidly. In particular, the market for digital twins is expected to grow at an extremely high compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30% to over 40% by 2030.

eSOL has already started efforts toward seizing this market opportunity, such as the joint development of a 3D-LiDAR point cloud simulator using eXRP ahead of commercialization with Tadano Infrastructure Solutions, Ltd.

System development in the industrial sector has also required advanced expressive power in recent years, such as that of game engines. However, general game engines are not well-suited to industrial applications that require long-term maintenance and strict quality control. For this reason, eSOL has brought together its knowledge of embedded system development and industrial control that it has developed over many years with the OSS Godot game engine to achieve light and flexible user-friendliness, and industrial-level quality, long-term support, and high scalability.

Implementation of highly expressive screen samples for industrial sector applications in eXRP

In developing eXRP, eSOL has concluded a strategic partnership with W4 Games Limited, a global provider of commercial services using Godot for businesses, to combine the strengths of both companies to support the development of 2D/3D applications for various applications in the industrial field and the realization of industrial DX.

Major use cases for eXRP in the industrial field

Development of cockpit HMI Digital twins for production lines, such as parts assembly, etc. Optimization of warehouse layouts using simulations Control simulation for conveyance machinesVerification of driving scenarios for ADAS/autonomous driving Use of virtual spaces on sales floors and in showrooms  AMR/AGV operation simulations using ROS cooperation Operator training and safety education using VR

“eXRP is the industry’s first real-time 3D engine that has the twin functions of a game engine that is user-friendly and industrial-level quality and support. eXRP’s introduction can be expected to drastically reduce development time for visualization systems in the industrial sector, which will enhance the competitiveness of businesses in the face of rapid market growth. eSOL is promoting a “Full Stack Engineering” strategy that provides development technologies across all areas required for building SDx platforms, and eXRP is a key component within this strategy, responsible for the visualization fields, including simulation and HMI.” said Masaki Gondo, CEO, CTO, President and Representative Director of eSOL Co., Ltd.
