Felo is a renowned German hand tool brand, known for the exceptional precision, durability, and ergonomics of its products. For electricians and other professionals working in environments where safety is a priority, Felo offers insulated tools certified according to VDE standards. They can be used wherever protection against voltages up to 1000V is required. This week, we recommend three tool sets that have been approved for such use.
Compact set FL41398517 is designed with electricians in mind. The set includes a combination of essential tools for installation work: flat screwdrivers (3.5mm, 4mm, 5.5mm) and Phillips (PH0, PH1, PH2) bits. Additionally, it includes side cutters and universal pliers (also known as combination pliers) with flat, gripping, and cutting jaws. All the screwdrivers presented here are equipped with fully insulated blades, practically eliminating the likelihood of accidentally touching an exposed part of the screwdriver.
Such a set is an excellent way to supplement or refresh a tool kit, especially for individual technicians working in the field.
Set FL41399504 is essentially a complete electrician’s kit. It also comes with a dedicated holster that attaches to a belt, where each tool has its compartment. In addition to insulated screwdrivers (flat, Phillips, Pozidriv) and pliers, it also includes a voltage tester (classic type with a neon lamp) and a wire stripper.
The largest recommended set is FL06391904. Its components are housed in a hardened organizer that helps maintain order and protects the tools during transport.
Unlike the above, this set replaces screwdrivers with a handle and 14 interchangeable bits: flat, Pozidriv, Phillips, Torx®, hex bit H2 and Z2. Additionally, the buyer receives 2 pairs of pliers (as above), a utility knife with a sheath, and a voltage tester.
