Some of the fastest growing, most exciting and forward-thinking companies in the engineering and manufacturing sectors will be exhibiting at this year’s Innovate UK event, including, 3-Cs Ltd, Imetrum Ltd, Lontra, Sensor Coating Systems, Glider Yachts, Loopwheels and Shadow Robot Company.
Having passed through a stringent application process, these companies will be joining more than 120 other high-growth, high-potential exhibitors on 5 and 6 November at Old Billingsgate in London. All of the exhibitors represent the very best of UK innovation, and will be demonstrating and sharing their products and expertise with more than 3,000 attendees, including investors, representatives from government and academia, and international visitors from 30 markets including Brazil, China, Japan and the USA.
An exhibitor of note is Coated Conductor Cylinders (3-Cs), which develops concepts and products for research and development in applications using high temperature superconducting films on tapes and proprietary cylindrical substrates. Also exhibiting at the event is Shadow Robot Company, which has developed cutting edge robotics such as the Dexterous Hand which delivers a range of movement and capability which matches that of a human hand.
Innovate UK takes place annually and is jointly hosted by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and Innovate UK (the new name for the Technology Strategy Board). It is the UK’s largest multi-sector conference and exhibition for entrepreneurs, innovators, exporters and investors. The event will be structured around four core areas – Fund, Support, Connect and Go Global – each featuring high calibre exhibitors drawn from a broad cross-section of industry, thereby enabling collaboration and the sharing of best practice amongst sectors as diverse as Agri-Food, Built Environment, Digital Economy, Energy, Healthcare, High Value Manufacturing, Space and Transport.
