New range of planetary gearmotors for miniature power transmission available from Mclennan

Ash Vale, Surrey, UK – November 2014: Mclennan has launched a new planetary brushed DC gearmotor range from the Italian small motor specialists Micro-Motors. The PS150 is a compact 30 mm diameter precision grade gearmotor with a 12 or 24 V DC nominal voltage rating and is available in a choice of 13 gear ratios from 3.4:1 to 87.7:1. Nominal torque through the range is from 3 to 250 Ncm. With its durable aluminium housing and 6 mm diameter output shaft with dual bearing support, the high torque-to-size gearmotor has a maximum shaft load rating of 50 N axial and 200 N radial at 10mm from the front fixing flange.
The integral brushed DC motors include interference suppression electronics and feature rear output shafts for optional two-phase Hall-effect encoders or alternative position sensors that Mclennan are able to fit as a part of its custom design service. Motor termination is via convenient spade terminals and encoders have connectors with flying leads for straightforward installation. The PS150 complements the larger E192 and P205 series planetary gearheads from Micro Motors.
As the exclusive UK distributor for Micro Motors, Mclennan hold selected stock for fast delivery and can provide complete mechatronic solutions based around the complete range which includes spur and planetary gearmotors with brushed and brushless DC drives in addition to a wide selection of feedback options.
Mclennan works closely with a small number of global motion control manufacturers such as Micro Motors and with its own in-house design and manufacturing capability the Hampshire based motion specialist offers complete integrated mechatronics assemblies with customised mechanics, gearheads and other power train components. Motor technologies include brushed and brushless servo motors, stepper motors, small AC motors and complementary gear unit drive technologies together with motion controls for competitively priced multi-axis motion and machine control for use throughout industrial and OEM automated machine appli
