Record Number Of UKIVA Members Exhibit At PPMA Show

No less than 19 UKIVA members are exhibiting at he PPMA Show from September 29th to October 1st. This is more than twice as many as exhibited in 2014, reflecting the continued importance of vision to the processing and packaging industries. The Association is also delighted to announce that a seminar entitled ‘Vision and Robotics – unleashing the potential’ will take place at 10 AM on Wednesday 30th September in the Seminar Zone.

 

With vision technology providers, vision systems integrators and solution providers that utilise vision all exhibiting, visitors will have the opportunity to see some of the latest vision equipment. Smart cameras, code readers, 3D systems and high speed imaging systems will be on show in a variety of demonstrations ranging from product and packaging inspection to code reading and verification.

 

UKIVA members exhibiting at the PPMA Show are: Acrovision, Alrad Imaging, Bytronic Automation, Clearview Imaging, Cognex UK, Dimaco (UK), Framos Electronics, IFM Electronic, Lambda Photometrics, Leuze Electronic, Multipix Imaging, Multivac UK, Omron Electronics UK, Pepperl+Fuchs GB, Scorpion Vision, Sick UK, Stemmer Imaging, The Config Team and UPM Conveyors.

 

The vision and robotics seminar is being presented by Andrew Jones, Sales Director at RG Luma Automation Ltd. Andrew has twenty-five years experience in the industrial automation sector and has been actively involved in the application of vision and robot technology during that time. This promises to be a fascinating talk which will look at the technology involved in integrating robots with vision systems, supplemented by some real-life applications from a variety of industries.

 

The PPMA Show is also the occasion where the winners of the annual PPMA Group Awards, including UKIVA’s ‘Most Innovative Machine Vision Project Award’ are announced. This prestigious award is open to both UKIVA members and non-members alike.
