Way Ahead Support Services, part of Mid-Warwickshire Mencap, an award winning local charity founded in 1966, supports people with learning disabilities to remain independent. Over the years, the organisation has gone from strength to strength, having recently expanded its day services to the local community to include opening during evenings and at weekends.
To support the operation, SSI Schaefer donated nine bays of its versatile R3000 shelving system to fit out a recently purchased storage unit for the charity’s Netherfield Day Centre.
Derek Harvey, Way Ahead’s Chief Executive said: “SSI Schaefer’s generous donation will enable us to store the equipment and supplies that we need for day services. They have been extremely understanding and helpful in sorting the whole thing out, from initial contact through to delivery.”
Aaron Thornton, Sales Manager, SSI Schaefer said “We are delighted in being able to offer our assistance in this instance and pleased that the shelving, which is fully adjustable and adaptable to future needs, is exactly what Way Ahead was looking for.”
