Advanced Engineering 2016, the UK’s largest annual engineering trade show, has announced a new partnership with The Manufacturer, published by Hennik Research. As part of the arrangement, The Manufacturer will bring its Smart Factory Expo to Birmingham’s NEC, on 2 & 3 November 2016, to run alongside Advanced Engineering.
The Manufacturer Smart Factory Expo is part of a series of events examining, in detail, Britain’s response to Industry 4.0. The Manufacturer Live (www.themanufacturerlive.com) events include the 2-day exhibition, The Manufacturer Top 100, The Manufacturer Annual Leaders Conference and The Manufacturer MX Awards.
The Manufacturer Top 100 aims to change the face of manufacturing by recognising dynamic leaders and innovators in the sector in an annual report. The 2016 list will be announced during a drinks reception on Tuesday 1 November, the day before the opening of
the show.
The Manufacturer Annual Leaders Conference brings together the best and brightest from the manufacturing and engineering sectors for a range of educational and networking opportunities. The final event, The Manufacturer MX Awards, is an annual awards programme recognising the excellence of manufacturers across all aspects of their businesses. This black tie awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 2 November.
The manufacturing and engineering sectors are experiencing rapid change and growth, most noticeably as a result of the 4th industrial revolution, making the partnership particularly prescient. Both shows seek to provide attendees with relevant and educational content, which addresses significant industry trends whilst future-proofing the sector.
Commenting on the partnership with the Hennik Group, Katie Crocombe, Advanced Engineering Event Director, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Hennik Group for 2016. Their involvement provides all those in attendance with even more opportunities to improve their operations, all under one roof. We’re very excited to be bringing a brand new element to our show and it illustrates just how important Advanced Engineering has become to the engineering and manufacturing sectors.” Henry Anson, Managing Director of Hennik Research said “There is tremendous synergy between Smart Factory Expo and Advanced Engineering and it makes perfect sense for us to be in partnership together. Industry 4.0 is on everybody’s lips at the moment and what was considered the factory of the future is rapidly becoming the factory of the present. Smart Factory Expo will enable visitors to see Industry 4.0 in action’.
Advanced Engineering 2016 brings together the very best from the high performance engineering sectors. It already has more than 80 show supporters, a wealth of exhibiting suppliers and partners and the largest open engineering conference programme in the UK.
Crocombe concludes: “2016 is a pivotal year for us, with more content on offer than ever before. Having the Hennik Group on board offers yet another dynamic component to our exciting show floor content.”
