Rugged, compact, sealed M12 connectors are popular for sensor/actuator connectivity in factory automation, process control, and industrial instrumentation. The screw locking M12 style connector has from 2 to 8 contacts and is IP67 rated so can be well suited for moisture-laden environments.
Field attachable connectors have the freedom and flexibility to react to the cabling situation on site or to enable building your own M12 cables. M12 connectors may also be coded by application.
