You may know already, the ‘VEGA Challenge 64’ team did a 40 mile/64 km walk last summer. We shouted about it enough back then, so we will spare the ‘gory details’. Needless to say, after we crossed the line we were done. But not quite… following the event, the fund raising still had a finishing straight to go, gathering in all the money that had been pledged and donated.
We are delighted to announce that we raised a total of £3700 for the charity, Action Medical Research. Not only that, but thanks to all the hard work of our donators, supporters and walkers, we were also confirmed as the highest fund raisers of the 2016 South Downs Plod event. Just before Christmas last year, Alice Lisher the event organiser from AMR presented a special fund raising award to the company and a Paddington Bear mascot (which was then raffled among the staff to raise even more funds for the Charity).
As we begin the 2017 we are looking forward to choosing our next challenge, so watch this space, it could be cream tea time again!
A Massive Thank You from all the team at VEGA
