Registration is now open for the UK’s only national sensors show, which will be heading to Hall 1 at the NEC Birmingham on the 26 & 27 September 2017 to showcase the latest products, technology and solutions in test, measurement and control.
With an exemplary exhibitor line-up, visitors at this free event will be able to see the latest from market leading suppliers operating in a range of industries from aerospace & defence to automotive, public services, mechanical engineering, medical, education and many more.
Once again Sensors & Instrumentation will offer a CPD accredited seminar programme presented by exhibitors and prominent figures within the industry, which will address contemporary issues and topics, adding value to visitors’ experience at the show.
New for 2017 is Connecting Industry LIVE which will bring together leading suppliers from the many different sectors of manufacturing to exhibit their products and solutions live on stage, forging a vital link between technology innovators and end-users. With the opportunity to watch live technical product demonstrations, visitors will be able to learn how these could benefit their own manufacturing operations and applications. Making its premiere appearance in this exciting feature area is Stanley Qubit – a NAO-25 humanoid robot made by Aldebaran Robotics. As seen on BBC1, Stanley Qubit is fully autonomous and can walk, talk, sing, dance, answer questions and is sure to leave a lasting impression with all visitors.
The Drone Zone will also be debuting at Sensors & Instrumentation 2017. An exciting feature area dedicated to advancing drone technology, the Drone Zone will focus on real life applications of unmanned aerial vehicles and the impact they may have upon the manufacturing industry. Drones fitted with optical flow technology will be on display and their agility will be tested on a specially designed obstacle course. Visitors will also be able to get first-hand experience in Drone Zone Demo Area, where virtual reality headsets will put them at the heart of the action.
Sensors & Instrumentation will see the return of the PR Electronics Formula 1 Car Simulator –with visitors invited to compete against colleagues, peers and friends for the fastest lap, which is sure to bring a competitive edge to proceedings.
Now in its ninth year, Micro | Nano | Mems is a dedicated specialist feature area at this year’s event, covering the full spectrum of technologies and offering a one stop shop for small and ultra-precision process technology.
Innovation Showcase is returning for a third year running; located at a key destination point within the hall, exhibitors will be able to display their products and technologies and the showcase will provide visitors with a snapshot of what they can expect to see as they explore the aisles of the show.

With so much to see, Sensors & Instrumentation has extended its opening hours to make sure that visitors can make the most of their day. The show will open at the earlier time of 9am on both Tuesday and Wednesday, and the first 200 visitors before 10am on each day will be treated to a complimentary breakfast courtesy of Keller. Doors will close at 5pm on Tuesday and 4pm on Wednesday, allowing visitors ample time to explore the vast range of industry leading exhibitors and exciting feature areas.
Co-located alongside Interplas, PPMA Show and TCT Show, Sensors & Instrumentation is a part of the largest industrial event of the year.
