Sandvik a top achiever in the 2017 Dow Jones sustainability index

Sandvik is once again selected as a member of the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). The top 10% most sustainable companies in each respective industry are included.

The 2017 DJSI has awarded a percentile score of 97, which means that Sandvik performs better on the indicators overall than 97% of assessed companies in the same sector, Capital Goods.

“Sustainability is key to our ability to create increased customer value, enabling us to help our customers become safer, more efficient and more productive. Hence, it is a natural part of our business strategy,” says Björn Rosengren, President and CEO of Sandvik.

 

“We continue to score high in Dow Jones Sustainability Index with a percentile ranking of 97, which means we perform better than 97% of the assessed companies in our industry,” comments Christina Båge-Friborg, Head of Sustainable Business.

 

Sandvik performed best of the assessed companies in its industry (Capital Goods) in the areas of Customer Relationship Management, Environmental Reporting, Corporate Citizenship, Philanthropy and Human Capital Development and Labor Practice Indicators.
