Engineering solutions provider, Boulting Group is celebrating the success of one of its apprentices who has claimed two prestigious ECA awards in Manchester and the North West.
Robbie Stanley, who has been an apprentice at Boulting Group since August 2012, was nominated by his colleagues for the ECA Manchester Branch Apprentice of the Year Award.
Following a successful interview by a panel of judges, Stanley won the award and was subsequently put forward for the North West Regional category, which covers North Wales, Liverpool, Manchester, Carlisle and Crewe. Stanley once again impressed the judges and claimed the North West ECA Regional Apprentice of the Year Award.
Established in 1975 by the Electrical Contractors’ Association, the ECA Edmundson Apprentice of the Year Awards aim to recognise the outstanding apprentices who not only have good technical skills, but are role models for others in the industry.
Following the achievement and the recent completion of his apprenticeship in electrical installation, Stanley has secured a permanent full-time role as an electrician at Boulting Group.
“The mentoring and guidance I have been given since beginning work at Boulting Group has been staggering,” explained Stanley. “I am particularly thankful to my mentor Greg Duckers, for his continued support and encouragement.
“Winning the ECA North West and Manchester Apprentice of the Year awards is my biggest achievement to date. It is a fantastic confidence boost and the best possible start to my career with Boulting Group.”
Stanley was presented with his award by Stephen Murray, chairman of the North West ECA and Steve Bratt, ECA group CEO.
