CAE solution specialist EPLAN will be showcasing the benefits of EPLAN Cogineer, their new configuration-based software package at the 2018 Drives and Controls show. The show takes place from 10th to 12th April, 2018 at Birmingham’s NEC. Visitors to the EPLAN stand D712 will also have the opportunity to meet with EPLAN partners, including Weidmüller and Festo.
EPLAN Cogineer is an innovative configuration-based automation software package, which simplifies the changeover to automated working methods by enabling design engineers to generate electrical and fluid schematics – without the need for expert knowledge, specialist programming ability or extensive training.
Complete electro-technical documentation can be created with EPLAN Cogineer at the push of a button. This guarantees error-free implementation of the defined rules and models and ensures the production of high quality documentation. Another added benefit of the new software is that it allows users to create more projects in the same time, thanks to its functionality for making use of pre-engineered macros.
The EPLAN stand will include a demonstration area where visitors will be able to try out EPLAN software for themselves and also discover how to source more than 781,000 components and more than 1.2 million variants, and directly use them via dragging-and-dropping into EPLAN software, or import them into other software in DXF format to produce layout drawings.
The EPLAN Data Portal is a collaborative web-based platform with major suppliers of electrical, mechanical, fluidic and pneumatic components – the number of collaborators is increasing constantly, but currently stands at 217. Weidmüller and Festo representatives will be on the EPLAN stand where they will be giving visitors an insight into their professional component packages, which are available on the EPLAN Data Portal.
Members of the EPLAN team will be on hand throughout the show to offer advice and to answer visitors’ questions about specific applications and requirements.
