The Independent Fire Engineering and Distributors Association (IFEDA) is the latest key association to announce their support The Fire Safety Event taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from 10 – 12 April 2018.
The Association was founded in 1989, to provide an independent representative body of fire trade companies. Its members consist of companies and sole traders engaged in the supply, service and maintenance of fire protection equipment within the UK.
Its members will be among more than 5,000 attendees who will visit The Fire Safety Event, co-located with The Health & Safety Event and The Facilities Event which also features 250 exhibitors including 50 exhibitors from the fire sector.
IFEDA joins a number of other key industry associations who are supporting the event including BAFE, Institution of Fire Engineers, Institute of Fire Safety Managers, Association for Specialist Fire Protection, British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association, Rail Industry Fire Association, Association of Insurers Surveyors and National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers.
The Fire Safety Event will offer more than 20 hours of CPD-accredited seminar content with sessions on how to prevent tall building fires, evacuation policies for fires and terrorist attacks, how to prevent false fire alarms, prevention of fires on buses, trains and at sea, protecting hospitals from fires, two fire safety mock trials and much more.
IFEDA general manager Graham Ferris said the Association is excited to support the event, he said: “IFEDA is delighted to be taking part and supporting a great networking and information-rich event. I’m keen to raise our association’s profile, especially the fact that we offer a range of, CPD accredited, fire alarm modules in addition to our traditional fire extinguisher courses.
