MATSUURA INVEST IN UK SPINDLE TEAM

Matsuura Machinery Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of three new engineers joining the Spindle Department recently.

Paul Godfrey – Spindle Build Engineer.  Paul is an experienced tool fitter and CNC machinist, having served in aerospace and power generation industry sectors.

Rhys Buxton – Apprentice Spindle Build Engineer.  Prior to joining Matsuura, Rhys undertook his apprenticeship at a precision machining company – studying machining and calibration. Rhys is working for his BTEC Level 3/NVQ3 in Engineering.

Sam Clegg – Technical Support Engineer. Sam previously worked as a toolmaker and in machine tool sales. Sam will be office based, taking frontline customer telephone queries and working with the in-house team to maintain the efficiency of our Spindle Facility operations and processes.

Pictured also is Charlie Bond – Spindle Build Engineer.  Although starting with Matsuura a little over a year ago, Charlie was already familiar with Matsuura products, coming to us from the MTC where he worked as a technician in Additive Manufacturing.

Unique for any machine tool supplier in the UK, our Spindle Facility with its Class 1000 cleanroom based in Leicestershire provides “off the shelf” service exchange spindles for Matsuura users all over the UK & Europe.

Commenting on the new positions, David Spencer – Spindle Facility Manager said: “The appointment of these experienced engineers to our spindle department is key to continuing to offer excellent response times and exceed our customers’ expectations.  Building work has already begun to extend the floorspace of the department, further enhancing this advanced facility.”
