Ratingen/Germany – For KOLLMORGEN, the “Distributor of the Year” awards are an opportunity to highlight the special importance of its sales partners. “For us to be successful, we need them to be successful too,” stressed KOLLMORGEN President Dan St. Martin on the occasion of the traditional awards ceremony on the first day of the sps ipc drives trade fair in Nuremberg. Dan St. Martin presented the award to Delta Elektronik from Denmark and BIBUS from Hungary accompanied by Markus Johansson, the new Vice President of KOLLMORGEN EMEA, and Jan Treede, the Managing Director for Germany.
As far as Dan St. Martin is concerned, it is clear that real people are behind the various solutions implemented recently with the relevant technology. And this is why he is so pleased about the trust and good collaboration that exist – built up over decades in most cases. Based on his own experience, Jan Treede explained how “thanks to direct communication, this even extends to the Development Department at Kollmorgen.”
One of the recipients of the “Distributor of the Year 2017” award – Delta Elektronik A/S from Taastrup near Copenhagen – is an acknowledged specialist for production facilities in the food processing sector. It is primarily known for its outstanding expertise in drive and control technology as well as motion control for machinery associated with “hygienic design.” Examples of applications can be found in the fish processing business, among other things, where Delta Elektronik mainly operates as a supplier of stainless steel AKMH servo motors.
Switching the focus from northern to eastern Europe, the second business to be honored was BIBUS Kft from Vecsés in Hungary. The company is based on the southeast edge of Budapest and boasts over 50 years’ experience in drive technology. Together with KOLLMORGEN, BIBUS has mainly established itself as an engineering partner and provider of total solutions for its machine builder customers – mostly based around AKD and S700 servo drives and the Kollmorgen Automation Suite (KAS).
