The size and value of Ireland’s manufacturing sector has grown hugely over the last few decades and that growth continued at record levels last year. With over 4,000 firms operating in range of hi tech sectors, from medical to aerospace, the market for manufacturing technology is huge.
The biggest event in the country’s manufacturing calendar is the National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition a one-day event which attracts over 4,000 people to the Citywest venue outside Dublin. The next event is scheduled for January 17th 2019 – and for the first time there will be a significant part of the show dedicated to manufacturing technology.
The new initiative, called Future Engineering Ireland, will provide an opportunity for manufacturing technology providers to show off their latest innovations to potential customers closer to their businesses than ever before. Irish businesses people are certainly not wary of travelling – and do so in great numbers to exhibitions like MACH and EMO – but by presenting new technologies in one day and in one conveniently located, place we believe that Future Engineering Ireland has the potential to carve out a big place in the Irish manufacturing landscape.
James Selka, CEO of the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), said: “The Irish market is buoyant, and we’re pleased to partner with Premier Publishing & Events, to deliver Future Engineering Ireland. This is a fantastic platform for manufacturing technology suppliers interested in accessing the Irish market.”
Colin Murphy, Exhibition Organiser and Publisher at Premier Publishing & Events Ltd, said “The show has grown year on year and it is fantastic to welcome manufacturing technologies suppliers to the exhibition. We look forward to working to working with the MTA to deliver for Irish manufacturers.”
