TCT 2018: 3D Systems to Demonstrate Transformation of Manufacturing Workflows with New 3D Printing Solutions and Applications

The Figure 4 Production platform will be on display, enabling functional prototyping and low-volume production with reduced part cost and ultra-fast print speeds of up to 100mm/hr

The company’s latest 3D printing solutions for plastics and metals are being featured in keynote presentations and nominated for six TCT Awards

BIRMINGHAM, UK, September 18, 2018 – 3D Systems (NYSE: DDD), the originator of 3D printing, will showcase its latest additive manufacturing solutions for plastics and metals at TCT 2018, bringing new efficiencies and innovations to everything from functional part prototyping to full scale digital production.

On display at the 3D Systems stand will be the Standalone version of the scalable Figure 4™ production platform. Figure 4™ Standalone is an affordable solution for functional prototyping and low-volume production, delivering six sigma repeatability and ultra-fast print speeds of up to 100mm/hr; the new entry-level industrial grade FabPro™ 1000 – a perfect prototyping solution for distributed workgroups; the high throughput DMP Flex 100 for entry-level metal and dental applications; the affordable ProJet® MJP 2500 MultiJet 3D Printer which offers a wide choice of engineering-grade materials and print speeds up to three times faster than similar class printers; and finally the new breakthrough DMP Factory 500 solution will be represented through a special video presentation and a new printed part. The DMP Factory 500 is the first additive manufacturing solution integrated with GF Machining Solutions technology and is optimized for the volume production of repeatable, high quality metal parts with low total cost of operation (TCO).

3D Systems’ complete suite of engineering software solutions will also be demonstrated at TCT. Several products have been recently enhanced with new features, functionality and automation to accelerate the design and production processes as well as minimize TCO.  On display will be Geomagic® Freeform 19 – the go-to solution for rapid and precise organic design for manufacturing, Geomagic Design X 2019 providing the fastest path from scan to CAD, 3D Sprint™ design for additive manufacturing software, Cimatron® mold and die design software and 3DXpert™ 14  – the 3D printing industry’s only all-in-one integrated software solution for the entire metal additive manufacturing workflow.

“At TCT 2018, 3D Systems is making good on its promise to make 3D production real. We are demonstrating the industry’s most advanced suite of additive manufacturing solutions – including software, 3D printers and materials – to help our customers transform their production capabilities,” said Wayne Davey, general manager EMEA and India, 3D Systems. “What makes this event even more exciting this year is that we are showcasing a metal part from our new DMP Factory 500 solution, jointly developed with GF Machining Solutions. And at TCT 2018 we’re featuring the Figure 4 Production platform, allowing designers and manufacturers to scale from prototyping to production with unprecedented accuracy and six sigma repeatability.”

To further demonstrate the power of 3D Systems solutions in demanding real world environments, two keynote presentations will be given. Markus Kuhn, Project Manager and Research Engineer, SMILE Project, DLR (German Aerospace Center), will be speaking on “Putting the Swirl Into Aerospace: 3D Printed Liquid Fuel Injectors” on Tuesday, September 25, 13:00 – 13:30 at the TCT Conference Stage. Sam Green, Marketing Manager for Professional Systems, 3D Systems will be presenting “Improving Each Stage of the Product Development Cycle with Dedicated Additive Manufacturing” on Tuesday, September 25, 13:10 – 13:30 at the TCT Show Introducing Stage
