Unbeatable range of Crocodile Clips, Test and Kelvin Connectors now available from JPR Electronics

Specialist distributors JPR Electronics stock a huge array of crocodile and test clips and kelvin connectors from leading manufacturers.

The founder of Mueller Electric, Ralph Mueller, is credited with the invention of the “alligator clip” in 1908 and their products today are renowned for the wide range of rugged, durable and excellent value for money crocodile clips of all shapes and sizes. Schützinger GmbH is a family company which since 1951 has been manufacturing a wide range of high-quality standard products for test and measurement applications.

JPR electronics stock over 30 variants of Mueller crocodile clips and accessories. These include standard and miniature crocodile clips and pre-wired lead sets rated up to 300V @ 7A, heavy duty, plier, battery and automotive analyser clips and a range of single and dual 4mm “banana” clips and BNC to double banana plug adaptors. A wide range of insulated shrouds are available to fit Mueller clips.

The Schützinger test clip range from JPR includes a wide range of 2mm and 4mm terminal posts, safety sockets and plugs including stackable variants, standard and safety crocodile clips, packaged 2mm and 4mm test lead sets and a comprehensive multimeter test lead and probe kit.

Schützinger also manufacture a market leading range of simple to use and space saving Kelvin four-wire connectors allowing measurements to be made without errors caused by transition resistance of the measuring leads and any thermovoltages. Due to the coaxial arrangement of plug contacts the Schützinger Kelvin Plug System requires minimal space in the measuring tool housing enabling a simple set up of measuring leads. As the Kelvin system is compatible with standard 4 mm safety plugs other measuring tasks can be easily be carried out using just 2 sockets.

Quick release Kelvin terminals are also available from JPR allowing measurements to be made from test objects with unterminated wires. Quick-release terminals are ideal for situations where a lead or cable needs to be connected to an instrument safely and quickly and is especially useful for inspection during production because it can be installed permanently and used to clamp a lead between two poles.

JPR can also supply the Kelvin-Adapterbox. Initially designed for demonstrating the different types of connections on accessories for Kelvin measurement, the box is increasingly used as an adaptor for connecting specific test accessories to sensing systems made by different manufacturers. The Kelvin-Adapterbox allows connections from four individual standard 4-mm plugs to two standard BNC sockets on an instrument or two bare wires to a multimeter by using on-board Kelvin quick-release terminals.

Paul Raynor, Director of JPR Electronics, comments, “The Mueller and Schützinger product ranges allow us to satisfy just about any test clip requirement from education to research and development and test and repair. The wide range of products ensures our customers can select the quality and cost which best suits their requirements.”
