Servelec Controls, an independent integrator of mission critical control and safety systems, has been recognised by the Energy Industry Council (EIC) at the EIC National Awards for a second consecutive year.
Following 2017’s success in which the company was awarded not only the Innovation Award but recognised as The EIC’s Company of the Year, Servelec Controls has been honoured once again. The company proudly collected the 2018 Digital Award in recognition of the success of a Real-time Information System (RtIS) solution for oil and gas company Repsol Sinopec, at a prestigious awards dinner in London on Thursday 11th October.
The system integrator and RtIS expert company was nominated for the award after it was featured in The EIC’s Survive and Thrive Report published earlier this year, thanks to a collaborative project that saved its client, Repsol Sinopec, several million US dollars.
Servelec Controls’ renowned Industrial IT Division created an innovative central monitoring system that is able to collect and analyse data from thousands of pieces of rotating equipment across Repsol Sinopec’s network of oil and gas platforms, then map out and then visualise trends related to vibration, temperature and other vital data, enabling the prediction and prevention of potential equipment failures and costly associated downtime. After providing an estimated 900% savings return for the client on the initial investment, the system’s capabilities and results thoroughly impressed the judges and earnt Servelec Controls the Digital Award, a new category launched at this year’s event.
EIC CEO Stuart Broadley, said: “It was great to see EIC Company of the Year 2017 Servelec Controls back on the podium again this year. Having saved Repsol Sinopec over US$9m through its real-time information solutions they are deserved winners of the EIC Digital Award.”
