Advanced Engineering 2018 opens its doors to exhibitors and visitors on Wednesday 31st October. The UK’s largest annual gathering of OEMs and engineering supply chain professionals is celebrating its 10th birthday at the NEC Birmingham.
With many new and exciting product launches, this year is set to be bigger and better than ever. And the addition of a new show zone, Nuclear Engineering, compliments the other areas dedicated to; Aerospace Engineering, Composites Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Performance Metals and Connected Manufacturing.
The show is staging presentations at the largest, free to attend, Open Forum program which is CPD (Continuing Professional Development) accredited. There they will highlight the latest developments in each of the six key industries. Some of the companies speaking include Siemens, IBM, Aston Martin, Network Rail and High Value Manufacturing Catapult. On top of this, there will be dedicated talks on the effects of Brexit within the various sectors with industry professionals speaking about this important topic.
With almost all the exhibition spaces now sold out, there are over 600 exhibitors this year. Added to this, the features area will allow visitors to get hands on and up close to some of the latest technologies in the industry including autonomous vehicles and drones.
Alison Willis, industrial divisional director at Easyfairs said: “The wait is over! After months of preparation and planning, the doors are finally open, and the visitors and exhibitors can see what is on offer at this year’s show. As this is our 10th birthday, expect the show to be bigger and better than ever before!”
