NSK has announced a new training programme designed to help bearing users learn ways of maximising machine reliability and profitability by improving their skills and knowledge in this important technology area. In tandem, NSK has opened the first two dedicated training centres for delivery of the courses, although the content can also be offered at the customer site if preferred.
The new training programme includes a large variety of well proven courses that focus on the major learning needs of those involved in specifying, using and maintaining bearings.
NSK’s training offer is further aided by the opening of two dedicated facilities for training existing and potential customers. The two centres, at NSK’s sites in Guyancourt, France and Tilburg, Netherlands, offer a combination of theoretical and practical training to mount and dismount bearings using NSK’s range of maintenance tools. Each facility is equipped with the latest AIP+ tools and a specially engineering rig to demonstrate best practice bearing mounting and dismounting procedures.
To provide an example of the courses on offer, Introduction to Bearings is a half-day programme that provides an overview of bearing functions, the type of bearings available and the nomenclature used, as well as typical applications. Also available is the half-day Advanced Bearing Technology course, which focuses on the detailed design and features of bearings, including the effects on performance for various options.
All NSK training sessions present a real opportunity for all participants to enhance and bring up to date their existing knowledge and practical skills concerning bearings and bearing-related subjects. The company’s instructors are application engineers with vast technical experience and an understanding of specific sector demands, thus ensuring that training delegates fulfil their potential.
Ultimately, all NSK training is designed to cover the individual information requirements of technical and commercial employees. The new courses are backed by over a century of experience and expertise in bearing technology, ensuring that the learning objectives are fully realised in every case.
