COHERENT | OR LASER will showcase the full capabilities of its highly competitive range of metal additive manufacturing equipment at the upcoming Formnext exhibition in Frankfurt. The company’s booth will be dedicated to highlighting how its metal AM platforms can be applied within a complete production workflow, with a specific focus at Formnext on how this is already happening within the dental sector. .
Dieburg, Germany 14. November 2018: At the formnext event, which will be taking place at the Frankfurt Messe, Germany 13-16th November, 2018, COHERENT|OR LASER will once again be exhibiting. The company’s booth will offer visitors to the largest global additive manufacturing event, the opportunity to become familiar with the wide range of high quality industrial laser manufacturing equipment for which COHERENT|OR LASER is highly regarded. On the booth will be a range of manufacturing systems, notably the CREATOR direct metal additive manufacturing machine, the CREATOR RA and the CREATOR hybrid. These will sit alongside the flexible EVO Mobile and Cube systems to allow formnext visitors to fully understand their capabilities and how they can fit into their own production environments.
COHERENT | OR LASER’s continued focus on advancing the capabilities of the CREATOR series of machines has resulted in a refined metal powder bed additive manufacturing system, which last year incorporated hybrid subtractive capabilities. The latest development is the CREATOR RA, which increases functionality of the CREATOR platform with the capability to process reactive materials such as Titanium and Aluminium. In line with the motivation and philosophy behind the CREATOR series, the RA system will offer an unprecedented cost/performance ratio, meaning that the ability to produce AM parts in reactive materials will be much more accessible to industry.
To fully illustrate the real potential of the CREATOR platforms, COHERENT|OR LASER will prominently feature a working application of the AM hardware within a dental production workflow. This dental application will showcase the entire digital process through the use of connected data and equipment, including a 3D scanner, the APP SUITE of CAM processing software, the CREATOR itself and ancillary equipment.
The dental market is one sector where the CREATOR has already penetrated with a great deal of success. The unique selling points of the CREATOR platform are an essential driver for this, notably its small footprint, with the intentional ability to fit easily through a standard doorway. This literally makes it the most accessible system in its class, which together with its highly accessible price/performance ratio contributes further to its acceptance and uptake for dental applications. The performance of the machine in terms of its reliability and the quality of the parts that are produced in dental-specific materials are further factors resulting in the demonstrable success in this market.
A range of dental parts directly produced on the CREATOR platforms will be showcased at the COHERENT|OR LASER booth, alongside parts that have been developed and produced for medical, engineering and jewellery applications of additive manufacturing directly with metal.
COHERENT|OR LASER will also be participating in the VDMA User Case area at formnext, which will be situated in Foyer 4.1. Visitors will be able to find and appraise a number of dental components produced on the CREATOR, as well as slides that explain the full dental workflow.
COHERENT|OR LASER looks forward to welcoming all visitors to its booth, C20, within Hall 3.0, at the Frankfurt Messe.
