Emerson experts will attend the Tire Technology Expo in the Deutsche Messe. They will be demonstrating how they can help tire manufacturers improve their production, throughput and flexibility through better diagnostics, sensing and monitoring whilst reducing their operating costs.

Emerson will be showcasing automation technology from their ASCO™, AVENTICS™, ROSEMOUNT™ and BRANSON™ portfolios. Their advanced fluid control and pneumatic products, machine safety and ultrasonic rubber cutting solutions deliver reliable and precise control within mixing equipment rubber cutting, calendars and extruders, tire building machines, curing presses and finishing processes.

Using a tire curing process application, they will demonstrate how the ASCO™ pressure-operated valves help to minimise energy use and reduce operating costs. These durable devices are designed to function in demanding steam applications and by enabling rapid cycling and tight shut-off, this ensures the curing press operates correctly and efficiently.

Plant operators can find out how to improve their production through the better diagnostics, sensing and monitoring capabilities delivered by the ASCO and AVENTICS™ pneumatics technology and IIoT solutions. Meanwhile, the Branson™ ultrasonic rubber cutting solutions will be on display to show how energy savings are possible within the rubber cutting process.

Emerson’s automation experts will be on hand to discuss ways machine builders and manufacturers can implement cost-effective safety solutions that simplify safety system design, improve machine functionality and maximize productivity. Examples of their Zoned Safety approach will be on display and visitors can discover how this simplifies the design and keeps operators safe without disrupting production.

To complement this, Enrico De Carolis, Vice President of Global Technology at Emerson, will present a paper entitled `Tire manufacturing – improving safety levels without compromising productivity’ as part of the conference.
