ITP Group defies Brexit uncertainty to celebrate record growth with new contracts for land, air and sea

Rugby based ITP Group, which began trading in 1979, is defying the uncertainty caused by Brexit to post record growth figures. With an order book more than double the size of 2018’s turnover, the family owned business will be working with customers whose products are as diverse as luxury yachts, drones designed to map the surface of the earth and road-going supercars.

Continued growth has seen the employee headcount increase by 10% at a time when many firms are treading water. Investment in the production of two new machine models HA400 and Studio Style 180 has had a significant impact on business as has the decision by some long-term clients to invest in new design studios. Diversification has also played a key part in ITP’s growth strategy with new clients including flying taxis, a brand new supercar and numerous rail customers.

“Our 40 th anniversary in 2019 has given us the opportunity to look back and appreciate everything we have achieved. We are building on this foundation and 2019 is set to be our strongest year by some margin,” explained Dick Turpin, managing director of ITP Group. “We have some very exciting projects coming up. We are traditionally known for our work in automotive, which will continue, but we’ve also worked on some really interesting projects in marine and aerospace over the years, and companies in these sectors are now coming to us for our expertise. Our decision to invest in the design and manufacturer of two new machines has paid off but of course the real value of a business is its employees and I am delighted that we are creating jobs and have increased our staff numbers by 10% in the past year.”

Founded by Dick Turpin, who still serves as MD, Rugby based ITP Group has worked with many of the premier names in British industry and has sold over 3,000 machines in 30 countries. As the UK’s leading producer of styling studio equipment and coordinate measuring machines, ITP Group can count industry giants from Bentley, McLaren, JLR and Aston Martin to British Nuclear Fuels and CEMEX among its customers.
