Schneider Electric exhibits at Rail Live 2019

Warwickshire, 19 June, 2019 – Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation, energy management and automation, is exhibiting at Rail Live 2019 at the Quinton Rail Technology Centre, Warwickshire, on the 19-20th of June. At their largest ever stand, the company will demonstrate their latest rail solutions, from signalling power systems to rolling stock sensors.

The event brings together over 6,000 visitors and 250 exhibitors to celebrate and evaluate the Rail industry in the UK. Speakers include Chris Grayling, Secretary of State for Transport, Andrew Haines, Chief Executive at Network Rail and Shamit Gaiger, Deputy Director at Department for Transport, alongside other major players in rail.

The UK rail industry is growing at a rapid pace. Private sector investment in rail has increased by more than a third in the last year, reaching a decade high of £1.3 billion, while £6.9 billion has been invested in the sector since 2007. Rail Live, the largest outdoor rail exhibition in Europe, is a unique opportunity for rail professional to see over £0.5 billion of rail plant equipment live and in action.

“Today, the rail industry faces a new challenge – climate change. Action is needed now if we are to curb energy usage. At Schneider Electric, we believe that collaboration is key,” said Peter Selway, Rail Segment Marketing Manager at Schneider Electric. “The only way we can meet the challenge is by explaining and physically demonstrating the capability of our products. Solutions, like signalling power systems, need to be integrated and understood by companies and government bodies to drive new levels of efficiency. Our presence reaffirms our commitment to the rail industry, and our belief that demand for innovation in transport has never been higher.”
