Sulzer to highlight its expertise and solutions at Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia (TPS) 2019

Attendees of TPS 2019 in Houston, Texas will have the opportunity to meet with Sulzer experts to discuss its turnkey pumping solutions, integrated maintenance and retrofit services for rotating equipment. Visitors will be able to see examples of Sulzer’s high-quality capabilities, including turbine blades, high voltage coils and a MSD multi-stage pump, all at Booth 1635. In addition to showing its industry-leading products and services, Sulzer will be participating in wide-ranging technical discussions taking place throughout the show.

Turbine blades are an area of extensive Sulzer expertise. Offering a global manufacturing and repair capability, Sulzer provides fast and reliable blade maintenance for operators of gas or steam turbines. Turbine blades will be available for viewing on stand in a variety of specifications.

Pumps are synonymous with Sulzer, due to its position as a world-leading manufacturer. This proficiency is illustrated by the MSD BB3 type multi-stage pump that will be on stand. The MSD enjoys widespread use in pipeline, boiler feed, water injection and nuclear safety applications around the world. An axially split casing facilitates rotor installation and maintenance, while opposed impellers balance axial thrust, reducing lubrication requirements

Sulzer also offers a retrofit service for pumps, which presents operators with an opportunity to enhance efficiency and performance. The service offers key value advantages compared to specifying wholly new equipment, allowing operators to adapt existing assets for different duty requirements.

Sulzer is globally renowned for its in-house high-voltage coil manufacturing capability, offering quality repair and maintenance services for rotating equipment. Attendees will have the chance to try out Sulzer’s 3D coil ordering system on stand. The display will allow users to specify coils to the requirements of their machinery via an engaging, interactive interface.

Sulzer experts will also be heavily involved with technical discussions throughout the event.
